Kompany set to keep his place

The Belgium international, who was fortunate not to be sent off in the opening stages of City’s 2-0 victory at Leicester last Saturday on his return from his latest injury, is set to partner Nicolas Otamendi at the heart of Guardiola’s defence as John Stones is sidelined.

The former Everton star may be out of action for up to six weeks after picking up a hamstring problem against the Foxes.

City have won their last ten Premier League fixtures and can be backed at 2/11 to beat the Terriers and at 11/2 to win the game 2-0.

David Wagner’s team beat Manchester United last month and are 16/1 to beat City.

“We played last season against them [a 0-0 draw in the FA Cup],” said Guardiola. “We were not able to win there, we realised how complicated it is to play there.

“At home, they have had good results. When they decide to make high pressing, they are so well-organised. Like every game away in the Premier League, we will try.

“Vincent is ready to play.”
