Arsenal and Tottenham go head to head on Sunday in the first Premier League north London derby of the 2017-18 season.
Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs have started the season brightly by qualifying for the Champions League last-16, but sit eight points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City in the title race.
Arsenal are even further behind Spurs as Arsene Wenger’s men trail City by 12 points, sitting sixth after losing four of their opening 11 League games to put pressure on their long-serving manager.
Olivier Giroud is a doubt and is still being assessed after sustaining a thigh injury during France’s 2-0 win over Wales on Friday night, though Danny Welbeck is expected to be available.
Goalkeeper David Ospina is due back from a groin problem but with Petr Cech almost certain to start against Tottenham, he will have to wait for next week’s Europa League trip to Cologne.
Spurs stars Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Hugo Lloris and Harry Winks all returned to full training on Thursday after undergoing 10 days of rehabilitation and are expected to be available at Emirates Stadium.
Kane (knee), Alli (hamstring) and Winks (ankle) all missed England’s friendly double-header against Germany and France while Lloris suffered a groin problem in Spurs’ Champions League win over Real Madrid.
However, Toby Alderweireld has been ruled out until after Christmas with a hamstring injury.
Predicted line-ups
Arsenal starting XI: Cech; Koscielny, Mertesacker, Monreal; Bellerin, Ramsey, Xhaka, Kolasinac; Ozil, Sanchez; acazette
Tottenham starting XI: Lloris; Dier, Vertonghen, Davies; Trippier, Dembele, Winks, Rose; Eriksen, Alli; Kane
