Bosz targets BVB turnaround

Borussia Dortmund boss Peter Bosz is determined to stay in his post and help the club recover from a damaging 4-4 derby draw at home to Schalke.

BVB led 4-0 after 25 minutes of the Revierderby on Saturday afternoon, only to suffer a second-half collapse which was complete when Naldo headed home an equaliser four minutes into stoppage time.

However, former Ajax coach Bosz refuses to give up, despite Dortmund having fallen to fifth place in the Bundesliga table on the back of a run of six league games without a win.

The Dutchman told the club’s official website: “It is hard to analyse and to cope with that. You feel nothing but disappointment. When you lead 4-0 at the break, that cannot be allowed to happen.

“It is now up to me to rebuild the team. We have to continue to believe in ourselves, we have to shed the uncertainty. I am a fighter – I was as a player and I am as a coach too. I am not giving up.”

Die Schwarzgelben have also struggled badly in the champions League this season, earning just two points from five games played in Group H.

They currently occupy third place in the group, but face holders Real Madrid in the Bernabeu in their final game, with a place in the Europa League still hanging in the balance.

Dortmund are currently priced at 1/4 to finish in the top four in Bundesliga, with Schalke available at 11/8 and Bayer Leverkusen 7/4.
