- Premier League | Burnley FC VS Nottingham Forest; Sunday, 19 May at 23:00 GMT +8
- Premier League | Brighton & Hove Albion VS Manchester Utd; Sunday, 19 May at 23:00 GMT +8
- Premier League | Manchester United VS Newcastle United; Thursday, 16 May at 03:00 GMT +8
Crystal Palace continued their steady resurgence at the weekend as they picked up a point at home to Bournemouth, although Roy Hodgson will be fuming that it wasn’t a three point haul. The game was tied at 2-2 heading into injury time when The Eagles won a penalty, but Christian Benteke insisted on taking it ahead of Luka Milivojevic, who had already scored from the spot earlier in the game. Needless to say, Benteke continued his goal drought and lost two points for his struggling side.
The hosts are undoubtedly an improving outfit though. They are now unbeaten in five games in the Premier League, and whilst they have only won one of these, the steady trickle of points has taken them to within two points of safety in the Premier League. All they need to do now is kick on that little bit further and start winning games.
Away from home The Eagles really struggle to find the net, but at Selhurst Park they tend to be much more free scoring. At home they have netted two goals in each of their last five league outings, winning two and drawing the other three. Considering Watford have conceded 11 goals on the road this season, backing a Crystal Palace Over 1.5 Team Goals bet looks a great choice.
The visiting Hornets fell to a 1-0 defeat at fellow overachievers Burnley on Saturday to make it three games without a win for them. They can’t be too worried about that though, especially considering their previous two games were against Manchester United and Tottenham.
Overall they are performing very well this season and find themselves in a surprising 9th position in the table, and now that they have some tough games out of the way they will be hoping to get back to winning ways as they go into a festive schedule that includes games against Palace, Huddersfield, Brighton, Leicester, and Swansea.
Watford have been fantastic away from home this season, especially in front of goal. Prior to their 1-0 loss at Burnley they had scored at least two goals in every single away game this season, but with only three clean sheets in these eight games and Palace’s recent scoring record, going for Both Teams to Score looks the best option alongside a 2-2 correct score predictions.
