The former heavyweight world champion was knocked out in the 11th round by the British boxer at Wembley four months ago and it had been hoped that the two men would fight again in Las Vegas in November.

However Klitschko, who ends his career with a record of 64 wins and five defeats, said: “I have achieved everything I dreamed of, and now I want to start my second career after sports.

“I would have never imagined that I would have such a long and incredibly successful boxing career.”

Klitschko won the super-heavyweight gold medal at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, before turning professional later that year and was at his peak between 2004 and 2015 when he never lost a bout.

That run came to an end in November 2015 when he was beaten by Tyson Fury, losing the WBA, IBF and WBO titles as a result.

Meanwhile, Alvaro Herrera is 9/5 to beat Jordan Rinaldi this weekend. Rinaldi is available at 5/11 to win the bout.
