Tottenham’s attacking midfielder Erik Lamela is available for the first time in 13 months, having finally returned to fitness after surgery on both hips.

Full-back Danny Rose is likely to be recalled but Harry Winks is a doubt because of illness.

Leicester manager Claude Puel has reported no fresh injury concerns ahead of Tuesday’s visit of Tottenham.

Long-term absentees Robert Huth and Matty James are the only players unavailable to the Frenchman.

Conor McNamara: “The last competitive game at Filbert Street was a Leicester win against Tottenham. Leicester haven’t been able to beat Spurs at home in the league since.

“The most recent meeting, in May, was Leicester’s heaviest Premier League home defeat.

“Back then, when Harry Kane was scoring four in a 6-1 drubbing, who would have thought that Tottenham would be 13 points off the pace 13 games into the new campaign?

“With just one win in their last five domestic games, even Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that Spurs’ title hopes look remote.”

Leicester City manager Claude Puel: “It’s important to look for evolution in the style of our play. It’s beneficial when the players can find different opportunities in attack.

“We must try to play our own game and it will be good to see our progress under pressure against a good opponent. It’s a good challenge for us.”

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino: “Manchester City have improved a lot from last season. The gap is massive but we will see what happens.

“We need to believe and try to win games. If we don’t win [against Leicester] – it is difficult to be a contender.”

Leicester manager Claude Puel has only lost one of his first four games in charge, but I would back Spurs to bounce back with a win – as they did after losing at Manchester United and Arsenal.
